Victorian mourning brooch in black glass ("French Jet") with intricately faceted design on a textured ground. Brooch is a trefoil shape and measures approximately 1-3/4 x 1-1/2 inch. The back of the brooch shows a typical Victorian-era tube hinge and C clasp, mounted on a flat plate. There are a few small chips in the glass around the back edge and some age-expected wear; the front of the brooch looks excellent.
