Cute little planter in the shape of an old-time open-top car.  Has a yellow body, purplish-red top, running board and bumpers, and blue radiator and 4-spoked wheels.  Marked on bottom "U.S.A. 506" and identified as Shawnee both by a paper label taped to one corner by a previous owner and by an online search for "Shawnee pottery 506 planter," which reveals similar planters.  Shawnee is known to have made multiple versions of this piece; please note this one has 4 spokes on each wheel and no gold trim.  Measures approximately 4-1/4 x 3-1/4 x 3-1/4 inches.  In excellent condition with no crazing or cracks; there are no signs of dirt or mineral residue inside so we think this was always used as a display piece. There is one small irregularity on the edge of the running board; there looks to be glaze over it so we think it's something that happened before the piece left the factory. A wonderful addition to a vintage figural planter collection, or a cute baby shower gift!
