Big and bold are the words to describe these vintage dress clips. Clusters of big, lustrous imitation pearls are arranged in the form of a bunch of grapes and topped by a cap of meticulously detailed grape leaves. Each clip is approximately 2 inches wide and a little more than that tall, about 2-1/8 inches. The imitation pearls are arranged in two layers so they really stand out. Beads have a golden-yellow cast to them - time may have deepened the color a little bit but we think the hue is pretty much original. These beauties are unsigned - most dress clips are - but the clips are ornamented with an intricate design. They are in superb condition for their age - the imitation pearls have a few tiny nicks and some of the composition material is visible around the posts where the beads are attached, but none of the finish is peeling or missing. There is minor surface wear to the clip backs, but no sign that any of the metalwork has ever been attacked by verdigris - truly a wonderful find for anyone who loves the look of dress clips!
