Ledo Art Deco Clamper Bracelet
Sparkling clear rhinestones and geometric designs are hallmarks of the Art Deco style, and this gorgeous bracelet certainly has them with its combination of round and baguette stones and center medallion of concentric diamond shapes. It's a clamper style in polished silvertone and has a safety chain. The inside measurement is a slender 6 inches, but of course it expands to fit larger wrists, and the spring hinges hold snugly. Signature is Ledo in script; this definitely dates the bracelet to before 1948 (Ledo used a different mark after that) and we think it's actually from the 1930s based on its style.
It's in very good condition for its age. The plating is intact except for one scratch on the back (which was probably from someone not realizing that this is a costume piece and testing it for precious metal), and the rhinestones show very little darkening. We did replace two missing baguettes.
So why not give yourself a little Gatsby or Downton style?
