Red-Brown Moonglow Disc Vintage Screwback Earrings
Vintage screwback earrings are discs of moonglow lucite in the russet-orange of autumn leaves. Earrings measure approximately 5/8 inch in diameter, and most likely date from the 1950s. Even though they are obviously a pair - the screwback findings are the same and the discs are the same size and thickness - one is noticeably lighter colored than the other, and the lighter earring also has a furrow in the back under the finding. We have no idea why. These earrings are previously owned and about 55 years old, and they do have some wear - but the discs are still in very good condition and there's a lot of mileage left in them. If you don't like screwbacks, it should be fairly easy to remove the findings and glue on a post or clip. A beautiful color to go with your fall wardrobe!
