This little pamphlet reprints a collection of articles that originally appeared in the Lansing State Journal in 1950. The author spent much of his life working in Michigan's logging industry and all these stories are first-hand recollections. Book is 39 pages, approximately 5-1/4 x 7-1/2 inches, staple bound with a cardstock cover. Cover has some shelf and handling wear: light wear to spine, some small ink spots on FC and an ink mark on BC, faint crease on top of FC, light soiling or tanning around the edges. Interior pages are clean and white with only a slight bump to upper corner. Staples are darkened but show no rust. Undated; privately published. A very good copy and a great first-hand look at a now-vanished part of Michigan history! Shipped poly bagged and sandwiched in corrugated cardboard to protect it during mailing.
